PANEL ONE
Shot from space, a few feet above the level of the taffrail, and
only a few yards away from it. Most of the principals are seen.
Tarrant: 'And what of Bretta's parents?'
Echeverria-Estrella: 'I have agents searching the Kryptagon as we
speak. When I know anything, you will know, straightaway.'

PANEL TWO
Closeup of Bretta, more or less in profile, facing away from
everyone, looking teary, but trying to be brave. Krumm stands behind
her.
Krumm: 'If I know Arran and Loreanna Islay, their captors will be
grateful by now to be relieved of them.'
Bretta: 'I hope you're right, Phoebus.'

PANEL THREE (lower lefthand quarter of page)
Tight on Bretta, looking grim. Some of her crosbow can be seen,
level with her face.
Bretta: 'If not, I swear I'll kill a world avenging them!'

View of group from above, looking down. Show a bit of the Void on
the other side of the rail.
Echeverria-Estrella: 'On this course, you're unlikely to encounter
anyone between here and the home system but smugglers and the
occasional trader, mostly aliens.'
Echeverria-Estrella: 'Neither will be inclined to bother you,
especially if you make use of this gift I have for you ... '
PANEL FIVE
The viewpoint has 'panned' right. Echeverria-Estrella points past
the taffrail, where, perhaps two hundred yards away, two or three
spacesuited figures carry a trapezoidal sheet of material perhaps two
hundred feet wide. Most starsails are light colored. This one is not.
On a dark blue field, five five-pointed yellow stars form a pentagram,
all points downward, with a scarlet upper-case Greek delta in the
center.
Echeverria-Estrella: 'Fly this tops'l and you'll be taken for another
border ranger.'
