The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Wide panel. The Variable Star glides across a starscape.
Caption: The passage to Venus had a dreamlike quality.
Caption: Babbette and Reggie avoided any news from the rest of human space.
Caption: They enjoyed the Variable Star's luxurious facilities, made love and watched the universe go by.
Panel 2
Silhouette of Reggie and Babbette in full sexual romp mode. Gravity is like on the Moon, so sheets and pillows will be flapping and bouncing.
Caption: The ship accelerated towards its rendezvous with Venus at one-sixth gee, approximately lunar gravity.
Caption: The new-again couple spent a lot of time exploring the joys of Lunar gravity … and each other.
Panel 3
Reggie and Babbette, dressed in fine day clothes, are seated at a table in a fine restaurant, looking at menus and sipping iced soft drinks in fine crystal tumblers. The lighting is low, with a fist-sized light-globe on each table providing illumination to those seated at the tables. Fern-like plants and other furnishings serve to separate the tables and afford a small measure of privacy at each.
Caption: Every so often, they came up for air.
Caption: A chance meeting in one of the ship's lounges almost spelled disaster for the two fugitives who had long before, escaped from Terra.
