The hull of _Resplendent Quetzal_. A large airlock door with
rounded corners has opened. Just outside, scattered between the ship
and the viewer and surrounded by their organic #-fields are Marengo
and two of her young. Near the bottom of the panel, at one corner, one
of the baby _lamina_ is very close, 'sniffing' at the reader.

Bretta, astride Rakush, is just leaving the airlock. Rakush's
field is extended to protect her.

In the background, we see Tarrant
in his little ship go zooming by, and even further away, the two
oncoming Jendyne warships.

Bretta: 'Come, now, my pretties, this is nothing new to you.'

In an inset panel, Kombi watches through a porthole in as much anguish
as his ravaged face can register.

Kombi: 'Bretta come back safe with my babies.'
