The Transcript For This Page

PANEL ONE (upper lefthand quarter of page)

The battered hull of _Resplendent Quetzal_, where Bretta takes her
_lamina_ back inside. At the porthole, much as before, Kombi watches
her.

Kombi: 'Soundly she brought my babies back, and safely.'

PANEL TWO (upper righthand quarter of page)

Bretta runs up a flight of stairs (ladder) on one of the gundecks.
There is destruction everywhere, but the crew is beginning to tidy up.

Bretta: 'I'd better get topside in a hurry!'

PANEL THREE (lower half of page)

The command deck. Krumm and Holder stand toward the left, facing
two newcomers on the right as they swing casually over the taffrail on
ropes. One is an excessively handsome young man, the other is Tarrant.
Apparently unnoticed by anyone, Tarrant is glaring sideways at the
younger man.

Gavilondov Echeverria-Estrella very closely resembles the young
Tyrone Power and the young Robert Taylor. His dark wavy hair is held
back in a ponytail with a broad black satin ribbon and a small oval
silver pin. He also affects a pencil-thin moustache and a tiny little
goatee on the front of his chin.

His clothing is basically 18th century, with a longish coat, a
long vest underneath, and lots of brass buttons, a lace collar and
cuffs. The business end of a thrustible is visible at his right
knuckles. His trousers are tucked into knee-high black boots with big
buckles.

Demondion-Echeverria (displaying his son like a game show model):
'Captain Krumm, Mr. Holder, allow me to introduce my son, Captain
Gavilondo Echeverria-Estrella.'

Echeverria-Estrella: 'Please, Captain, call me 'Gav'.'
