Hard to believe it, but Big Head Press published it's first novel, over 20 years ago. To commemorate our stubborn longevity, we continue to stubbornly offer each of our non serialized graphic novel stories for just one mere American dollar (plus shipping). Start your holiday shopping early and light up some body's mind with one or more of these titles.

Offer only available in the United States.

Kickstarter Success!

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!

Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

All of this should show up in June.

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Large panel, establishing shot of the Hangar. A huge area about 200x200x300 meters. The wall surface area is roughly half-rock and half-metal structures, several of them with windows. There are several cradles in which rest spacecraft approximately Toot's size, some a bit bigger, some a bit smaller, including Drenkowski's fighter. Each ship in a cradle has an air-tube snaked out from the hangar wall and attached to the ships via universal adapters.

Drenkowski's voice (filtered): Gentlemen, welcome to Damocles Station.

Panel 2
Grappling arms guide Toot into an empty cradle. An air tube is already snaking towards the Toot's main exit hatch.

Drenkowski's voice (filtered): Please stand by while we secure your craft and establish pressure lock.

Panel 3
Close 2-shot of the brothers in the pilot's cabin. Ernie is looking at a panel off to his right. Bert looks a bit at a loss.

Ernie: Airlock telltale shows green.

Bert: Now what?

Panel 4
Looking over Bert's shoulder at a viewscreen on his console, near where Bert's comm is still docked to the controls, the face of Drenkowski appears.
Drenkowski (filtered, from comm): Please gather any personal belongings you wish to bring – including your comms – and exit your craft.
Drenkowski (2): We will transfer to the surface, where you will meet your host ...

Panel 5
Close two-shot of Ernie and Bert, looking shocked at what they're hearing.
Drenkowski (filtered, OP): ...Sv. Tobikuma Kobayashi, who invites you to spend a few days as his guests on the Little Prince Estate.
Panel 6
Looking at Bert and Ernie from behind, affording a view out the front viewport. We see a windowed structure in front of Toot. Bert and Ernie are looking at each other (so we can see their profiles), chattering excitedly.

Bert: We're hauling ice for Tobikuma Kobayashi? He's the richest man in the … in the ...

Ernie: ...ever. Reclusive inventor of the whole fricking 'Quantum Entanglement Network!'

Panel 7
Looking at Ernie and Bert from the console POV again. Ernie is overwhelmed, hand clapped on forehead; Bert has unfastened his seatbelt and is hoisting a rucksack as he rises out of his acceleration couch.
Ernie: Lord love a duck! His 'estate' is an entire terraformed world. We're not worthy.
Bert: In which case, we'd better not keep the man waiting.
