Strip 338 -- First Seen: 2009-12-30
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.
Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Doris at her station; in the background we can see Fiorella looking on. Doris is a bit pensive.
Doris: So Reggie, that thing looks vaguely familiar. You know everything, so what is it?
Panel 2
Cut to Reggie in his stateroom, drink still in hand.
Reggie: Thanks for the flowers, and yes this is one I do know.
Reggie: It's a so-called 'Gray Alien.'
Panel 3
Wide panel. Arrange most of the scene to the center, leaving space on either side for two large caption boxes. In the scene, a middle-aged, somewhat dowdy woman lays entranced on a padded Barcalounger. Next to her, one man holds a sparkling crystal on a string about two feet from her face, indicating he has her hypnotized. The hypnotized woman is moving her lips in speech. Nearby, a professional-looking young woman is taking notes.
Caption (Reggie): 'In the 1980s and '90s, a bunch of humbug 'therapists' claimed to have recovered 'repressed' memories from people about being paralyzed and taken aboard alien spacecraft.
Caption: 'These so-called 'abductees' were hypnotized and talked into believing that gray aliens had 'probed' them and subjected them to weird experiments. I'd like to probe and experiment on those phony therapists!'
