Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Elevated two-shot of the brothers. Bert has his hands on hips in an expression of mild exasperation. Ernie's stance expresses excitement.
Bert: Shoot you to Dactyl with the Mass Driver.
Ernie: Yeah! I can fit inside the coils.
Panel 2
Bert waxes professorial again. Make panel large enough to include all the dialog and Ernie.
Bert: One, the delta-V needed to launch you all the way would crush you.
Bert: Two, your center of gravity would probably change under acceleration, which would throw you off course, even if it were possible to plot a trajectory.
Bert: Three ...
Ernie: I can compute the trajectory.
Panel 3
Another two-shot of the brothers, face to face.
Bert: Cannot!
Ernie: Can so!
Ernie: Listen, Bert, my ock and optical enhancements can measure all parameters and give us a ballistic solution, no sweat.
Panel 4
Medium close-up on Bert, plowing on.
Bert: Three, how are you going to stop at the other end?
Panel 5
Medium close-up on Ernie.
Ernie: Very rapidly, I guess.
Ernie: If I live through the initial impact, the autodoc on board the ship could probably fix me up.
Panel 6
Two-shot of the Brothers focusing on Bert, who has his hands on his hips again in that exasperated pose.
Bert: So you crawl your shattered body – that's assuming you don't just fly right past Dactyl – so you crawl to our ship, beat up the bad guys and jump in the doc.
Bert: Is that your idea? Great plan, Ernie.
Panel 7
Medium shot of Ernie, hands on his hips with shoulders back in a pose more of defiance, his face looking completely serious.
Ernie: Dammit, Bert, it's the best play we have.
Ernie: So have you got a better plan?
