The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Wide panel. Long shot of Babbette and Reggie walking along Main Street. They're not holding hands but they're obviously a 'couple.' Other people are on the street and a few passers-by take notice of them. (It's a small town, after all, where everybody knows almost everybody).
Caption (narration): Over the following decadays, Babbette and Reggie spent all of their nights and as much of their days together.
Caption: It wasn't a one-night stand, it wasn't a fling.

Panel 2
Medium shot, Reggie and Babbette sitting together at a fine restaurant table, candle-lit, romantic setting, making goo-goo eyes at each other over their wine glasses. If space permits, show them playing footsie under the table.
Caption: They were growing together, and curiously, it frightened them both.
Caption: But neither expressed their fears to the other.

Panel 3
Reggie and Babbette in bed, clearly in the warm afterglow of lovemaking. Neither is wearing clothes, although Babbette has the sheet pulled up over her breasts.
Caption: That changed on their self-proclaimed 'centiversary,' ten decadays after they'd first gotten together.
Babbette: Reggie, I've been thinking about Carlos.
