Strip 712 -- First Seen: 2011-05-27
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.

QV on a short break

QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.

In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.

Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.

Kickstarter successful and closed

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Babbette is now sitting with her legs swung up on the bed, partly leaning against Reggie. Reggie is looking surprised.
Babbette: Sorry, old joke.
Babbette: Ernie was reporting that a whole company of UW troops just showed up at the spaceport, and marched over to the Hôtel de Crillon.
Reggie: Wha –?

Panel 2
Babbette explaining to Reggie, who is looking very concerned.
Babbette: It seems those four that showed up earlier bought the old hotel and the troops just moved in. Nary a shot has been fired.
Reggie: I'll be damned.

Panel 3
Closer-in shot of Reggie and Babbette. Babbette is glancing over at Reggie.
Reggie: I … do you think we should go back?
Babbette: No, no. Ed Turner seems to be on the case.

Panel 4
Babbette and Reggie.
Reggie: I know Ed. He's a sharp cat.
Babbette: Apparently so. Ernie said he managed to arrange some sort of Christmas party between the locals and the troops.

Panel 5
Reggie and Babbette. Babbette is putting her arms around Reggie in an amorous gesture.
Reggie: Oh, that's right – it's Christmas on Terra now. I'd forgotten.
Babbette: You forgot Christmas? I suppose you forgot my present, too.

Panel 6
Reggie and Babbette fall into a cuddle-tangle, gazing hungrily into each others' eyes.
Reggie: I had your present with me all along.
Babbette: Great! Now, where were we …?
