QV on a short break

QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.

In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.

Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.

Kickstarter successful and closed

The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.

Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1
Establishing shot of a utility area under the spaceport, grungy, pipes running everywhere, some machinery, bins full of refuse to be sorted for recycling, etc. In a corner, we can see what looks like a bum in tattered clothing, slumped unconscious (or perhaps dead) in a corner. An empty booze bottle is nearby.
Caption: Jim took his boys – now uncomfortably ready for battle – to an environment support area often frequented by down-and-outers.
Caption: Almost immediately they found a lone target.

Panel 2
Overhead view – the six boys are gathering silently in a semi-circle around the bum.
No dialog.

Panel 3
Wide panel – a panoramic view of the boys, from the waist up. They all have their hands positioned over their groins, but we have to guess what they're doing. They are all looking dubiously at Jim. Jim holds one hand up, point his index finger skyward, as he whispers.
Jim (whisper): Ready ...

Panel 4
Wide, shorter panel. Now we just see the boys from the shoulders up, focus is on their facial expressions, which in this frame look very tense.
Jim (whisper): Aim ...

Panel 5
Wide, shorter panel. Now the boys all have their mouths agape in that 'ahh!' expression as they let loose.
Jim: Fire!

The victim suddenly roars to life, rising up amid a torrent of liquid streams. He is of slight build and has shoulder-length black hair. Yep, it's Wally.
Bum: NOW!!!

Panel 6
Four strong men wearing vests with badges identifying them as security agents suddenly appear behind the boys, and grab them (two of the guards grab two smaller boys each, one grabs Jim and the other grabs Todd. One of the guards speaks
Guard: You're all under arrest!
