Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
In Reggie and Babbette's hotel suite. It's a goodly-sized, 4-star hotel room, with a king-sized bed (coverings now completely disheveled), a work desk with chair (to the right), another overstuffed chair (to the left), and a wet-bar. Along one wall are glass doors to a balcony which overlooks Central Park, although we don't have to see it in the first panel. Currently, Babbette is lounging in the overstuffed chair, wearing a dressing gown which reveals as much as it conceals, sipping on a frozen margarita. Reggie is standing at the desk, looking at a 22-inch holo-display being projected from a holo-strip on the desktop.
Babbette: Cloud yachts?
Reggie: Yes! We can rent a cloud yacht and explore around in the atmosphere!
Panel 2
Reggie has walked over to where Babbette is seated, and looks excited. Babbette looks dubious about the subject, and continues sipping on her margarita.
Babbette: Which is just a yellowish mist.
Babbette: Oh goodie, sounds fascinating.
Panel 3
Medium 2-shot of Babbette and Reggie.
Reggie: No, it's more than that, I've read about it.
Reggie: There are yellow clouds and white clouds.
Panel 4
Reggie shifts into sales-pitch mode. Babbette is looking even more dubious.
Reggie: There are cloud canyons many kilometers deep.
Reggie: Areas where the clouds are so dense, day turns into night.
Reggie: Sometimes the sky is deepest blue and sometimes a bright canary color.
Reggie: We can ride through lightning storms.
Panel 5
Close 2-shot, Reggie is leaning in close to Babbette, who now seems to be gazing at something far away.
Reggie: And maybe we'll see some Venusian life.
Panel 6
Same shot, pulled back a little. Babbette is smiling an enigmatic smile. Reggie looks at her knowingly – he has won her over.
No dialog.
