Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Babbette and Reggie still looking at the lake. More of a side view this time, so we can see their faces and also numerous buildings along the near part of the crater wall. (Note – where the Otaared structures tended to be fancy and ostentatious, the Chao Meng-Fu buildings are mostly smaller-scaled, with architectures ranging from neo-Victorian to brownstone to cubistic to retro-futuristic. A very eclectic mix.
Reggie: When I lived in San Francisco, I used to go day sailing inside and outside the Bay.
Panel 2
Babbette and Reggie stroll away arm-in-arm down a boardwalk, the lake on one side and various buildings on the other.
Reggie: Whatever else we do here, I want to take some time to sail this little sea, with thee, my lady.
Panel 3
Babbette and Reggie approach a three-story building, with three signs. On the second floor, the sign reads 'The Above Stairs Inn'. On the first floor are two signs. The first floor has a broader storefront on the left side with a large plate-glass window with a painted-on sign reading 'Below Stairs Café' and to the right, an ordinary door and small window and a smaller sign reading, 'Below Stairs Tattler.'
Caption: They had made reservations at the Above Stairs Inn – a modest, but clean, boarding house for transients.
Caption: The Inn sat above the offices of the Below Stairs Tattler, just the place Reggie wanted to visit.
