Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Re-establishing the scene in Frank Martin's office. Frank behind his desk, Reggie and Babbette seated facing it.
Frank: That little bird wasn't named James, was he?
Frank: He told me I might be hearing from a couple from 'Mars.'
Panel 2
Medium shot of Frank at his desk, leaning forward a bit with his elbows on the desk and his hands clasped together.
Frank: Normally I wouldn't discuss this with an outsider, but you are the guy who put a nuke in his shorts with the goal of blowing that bastard, Harris, to hell.
Frank: I think I can trust you.
Panel 3
Looking over Frank's shoulder at Babbette and Reggie, who look shocked at what Frank is saying.
Frank: Besides, now that you're here, I'd like to take advantage of your wisdom
Frank: I'd like your advice about fighting a war.
Panel 4
Medium close-up on Frank.
Frank: When the colonies were established here, the people in the North Pole region just assumed that the South Pole was part of their bailiwick.
Frank: After establishing their Associate Sector Status with the U.W., they hired the Hogan Detective and Security Agency to police both poles.
Panel 5
A flash-back panel: Uniformed bullies with 'HGDA' patches are giving a beat-down to a hapless victim.
Caption (Frank): 'Predictably, the Southies called the Hogan agents 'hogs.'
Caption: They were not liked.
Panel 6
In front of a small shop. Uniformed 'Hogs' are carrying out merchandise, to one side we see an officious-bureaucrat type (pudgy, wearing conservative clothing with a name tag) with a shiny clip-board lecturing the distressed shop keeper.
Caption (Frank): The last few months have seen an escalation of violence and other abuses by Hogan agents in the South.
Caption: The 'Northies' apparently are trying to get more compliance with various laws and regulations they enacted. Which Southies usually ignored.
Panel 7
Back to Frank's office, 3-shot of Frank, Babbette and Reggie.
Reggie: So you think things are coming to a head?
Frank: Oh yes, very much so.
