Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

Bert (filtered): Oh, yeah.

Cut to Bert at his desk.
Bert: The population in the area was growing, so the UW moved everything – lock, stock and barrel – to Groom Lake in Nevada.
Tobi (filtered): Ah, yes, Area 51.

Bert: Yeah, kind of funny, but here's where it gets not funny.
Bert: Given the impending melt-down of the Continental and the general crash of the economy, the UW is finally doing some housecleaning.

Cut back to Toby at his desk, listening through his 'Ock.'
Bert (filtered): This includes the Groom Lake facility, which they are going to mothball.
Bert: So the Neanderthal project is being terminated as well.

Tobi's eyes start to widen with a dawning realization.
Bert (filtered): The catch is, they don't know what to do with Neanne.
Bert: They don't want the secret research exposed, so they don't want to let her go, but they don't want to keep supporting her, so ...
