One Dollar Sale Continues!

$1 Books Plus Shipping!

Hard to believe it, but Big Head Press published it's first novel, over 20 years ago. To commemorate our stubborn longevity, we continue to stubbornly offer each of our non serialized graphic novel stories for just one mere American dollar (plus shipping). Start your holiday shopping early and light up some body's mind with one or more of these titles.

Offer only available in the United States.

Kickstarter Success!

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!

Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

All of this should show up in June.

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Exterior view of The South American. We can see eight shuttlecraft emerging from its hangar bay and headed Terra-ward.
Caption: Slowing the massive ferry to Terran orbit would have been prohibitively expensive, so at the end of The South American's transit, passengers transferred to shuttles that flew into Terran orbit.
Panel 2
Somewhat larger panel – we can see The South American, or part of it, to one side. Near the other side is Earth, about 20,000 miles distant (we may only see part of Earth as well). The point of interest is a line of transfer shuttles heading up from Terra towards the SA, passing by the train of shuttles which has left the ferry and is headed for low Terran orbit.
Caption: Simultaneously, new passengers flew from orbit to the ferries. Their shuttles matched vectors with the ferries and docked.
Caption: The transfer shuttles stayed with the ferries for a cycle and were available as lifeboats, should the need ever arise.
Panel 3
Exterior view of the Ezekiel Space Wheel. It consists of a hub surrounded by two concentric rings. We see some of the ferry shuttles headed towards it.
Caption: The rescue team's shuttle docked in the micro-gee landing bay of the Ezekiel Space Wheel, or 'Zeke' for short.
Caption: The Guzmán brothers learned later that Zeke was another of Tobi's holdings through a Martian cut-out.

Panel 4
Bert and Ernie, Mac and Nissa, carrying their rucksacks, make their way through zero-gravity to an airlock. A fellow in a 'skycap' type uniform (an actual 'spaceport agent!') is guiding them.

Caption: They didn't have time to look around, though.
Caption: They were shown on board a private yacht ...

Panel 5
Exterior shot of the private yacht, a spacecraft the size of a Winnebago with sweeping lines marking her clearly as a pleasure craft, exiting Zeke's landing bay.
Caption: … which immediately exited the landing bay.

Panel 6
Exterior view, the private yacht is approached by a large, black shape, which is the Free Bird..
Caption: A centime later, a black 'hole' in space approached. It was Free Bird.
Caption: The team wasted no time getting aboard.
Panel 7
In the cockpit of the Free Bird. Commander Drenkowski is in the pilot seat, Bert is next to him in the co-pilot seat. Ernie and the girls are seated behind the first two. It's already looking a bit crowded.
Bert: Okay, people, let's get this show on the road.
Bert: Commander Drenkowski, please take us in.
