PANEL ONE

From behind, standing, entering _Resplendent Quetzal_'s airlock.

Bretta: 'Are we truly a sexually repressed species, Hanebuth?'

Tarrant: 'Throughout the Cluster, a woman is property, her sexuality
simultaneously displayed and suppressed until she's married or sold.'

----------------------------------------------------------------------

PANEL TWO

Now they're standing in the elevator on the 'toledo' deck, waiting
for the doors to close.

Bretta: 'The two are much the same. My mother refused such an
arrangement and was exiled for it.'

Tarrant: 'As did the Ceo's sister, who fled Hanover and now leads
from Earth's Moon.'

----------------------------------------------------------------------

PANEL THREE

Two-shot. Inside the elevator, papered with various notices and
offers from the more entrepreneural among the crew.

Bretta: 'Yet my parents do it all the time. They have seven children.
They're probably doing it right now ... I hope.'

Tarrant: 'So do I sincerely, Princess. They are good people.'

PANEL FOUR

Closeup on Bretta, contemplative, her eyes downcast. She is not,
however, lost to pain or grief, simply remembering. From behind, Tarrant put his hands on her shoulders.

Bretta: 'I myself have done it once -- rather, it was done _to_ me,
against my will. It was most unenjoyable -- but you knew that.'

Tarrant: 'I did, Princess. That you can speak of it may mean you're
not repressed.'

PANEL FIVE

She turns so that his arms fall about her.

Bretta: 'Well, thank you for that. It helps that I killed him.'

Tarrant: 'It would certainly help me.'

Bretta: 'Which is just another reason why -- '
----------------------------------------------------------------------

PANEL SIX

Bretta throws her arms around his neck and kisses Tarrant full on
the mouth.

Narrative (Tarrant): 'She didn't stop until the lift door opened.'
