PANEL ONE
About a quarter of Hanover II can be seen on the lower lefthand
corner. _Resplendent Quetzal_ has her stern turned toward us so we can
look along her hull and up into her sails.
_Resplendent Quetzal_ (the crew sings): 'The lot it fell first upon
Henry Martyn, the youngest of all the three ... '
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL TWO
Planet and everything, exactly the same as Panel Two except that
_Resplendent Quetzal_ is half the size she was in Panel Two.
_Resplendent Quetzal_ (the crew sings): 'That he a star-pillaging
rover should be, should be, should be ... '
'For to maintain his two
brothers and he!'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL THREE
Now, looking down along the RQ's mast, with the planet roughly soft-ball sized in the background.
_Resplendent Quetzal_ (the crew sings): 'With broadside! And
broadside! And broadside they went! For fully two hours or three!'
PANEL FOUR
Same view of the RQ, but now the planet is half its size in the previous panel
_Resplendent Quetzal_ -- (the crew sings): ''Til Henry Martyn gave to them the
death thrust!'
PANEL FIVE
Now the planet is just another fleck of light. Its sun comes into view, almost half a billion miles distant. The RQ is a bit larger in the frame now.
_Resplendent Quetzal_'s crew: 'The death thrust! The death thrust!'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL SIX
A portion of the maindeck now takes up most of the panel, from the
upper righthand corner down. The first few measures of the mast and a
number of human figures are visible through the slightly hazy #-field.
_Resplendent Quetzal_'s crew: 'Shattered from liftdeck to foretier was
she!'
