PANEL ONE (top row, large)
From the back, along the rail, we see the men, Kombi, Tarrant,
Krumm, and Demondion-Echeverria, spaced so that we can also see Bretta
outside the rail, astride her mount, with the other animals on either
side of her, hovering and nuzzling her hands as if expecting some kind
of treat.
Kombi should be fussing with one of the animals in some
proprietary way.
Bretta: 'They are _lamina_ -- from the Aggregate System -- evolved,
born, and bred in open space. This is Rakush I'm riding, his mate,
Marengo, and their young, Silver, Scout, and Victor.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL TWO (right side of top row, narrow)
Closeup on Demondion-Echeverria, raising a long, silly finger
pedantically, to make a point.
Demondion-Echeverria: 'All very rustic and charming, my dear, but
shouldn't we be getting along with our mission?'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL THREE (bottom half, left third)
Three-shot, medium high angle view. Demondion-Echeverria and Tarrant in
mild confrontation, with Kombi between and behind them, looking on.
Tarrant: 'These creatures could _make_ our mission, Frantisek! Bretta
won a war astride them. Kombi and I were there to see it!'
Kombi: 'Yes, yes, Kombi was there!'
PANEL FOUR (bottom half, center third)
Essentially the same shot as before, perhaps closer, but Tarrant
has his back to Kombi and is looking downward. Demondion-Echeverria is
still in profile, but has a hand raised so Kombi can't hear him or
read his lips.
Demondion-Echeverria (whispers): 'Is this creature some sort of mental
incompetent?'
Tarrant: 'He has more brains than you or I -- an extra lobe, in fact.
True, he's no conversationalist. His brains are busy running that
extra arm and leg.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL FIVE (bottom half, right third)
Closeup on Kombi's clown-hideous face.
Kombi: 'Extra _ear_, too. Kombi hears certainly well!'
