PANEL ONE (upper lefthand quarter of page)

In the 'crow's nest' or 'fighting top' at the very tip of the
mast, an old hand -- he should look like Robert Jackman, aka 'Dr.
Julius No' -- and a youngster stare ahead into space. The older man
has a floor-mounted catadioptric telescope.

Old Hand: 'Go tell Captain -- quietly -- we've sighted sail. Jendyne,
by the look!'

Youngster: 'We're in for it now, ain't we, Mr. Ngo?'

PANEL TWO (upper righthand quarter of page)

Closeup, but full length of Krumm on the command deck. The boy
from the crow's nest stands beside him, as does Mr. Holder.

Krumm: 'Call all hands before the binnacle. Leave the lookouts aloft.'

Holder (megaphone): 'All hands topside and before the binnacle!'

PANEL THREE (lower lefthand quarter of page)

Holder bends over to speak to the boy.

Holder (to the boy): 'Tell Mr. Ngo the lookouts are to remain aloft.'

PANEL FOUR (lower righthand quarter of page)

Two-shot, Krumm, and Mr. Valentine, the latter turned away from
us, aiming his bazooka-like communication device past the rail into
space.

Krumm: 'Signal Mistress Islay to come on board, if you will, Mr.
Valentine.'

Valentine: 'Aye, Captain.'



PANEL FIVE

Descending to the quarterdeck (the lower of the two elevated
decks), Krumm addresses his crew, whom we see as a bunch of backs of
heads.

Krumm: 'I'm giving the command to evade this newcomer.'

Crew: 'Awww ... grumble ... grumble ... '
