PANEL ONE

On the command deck, Krumm leans against the rail, looking up, as
frenzied activity occupies the quarterdeck and maindeck, below.

Voice (from out of panel, above): 'Interlopers coming within
projectible range, sir!'

Krumm: 'Hold fire, if you will, until they are within thrustible
range.'

Voice (from outside of panel): 'Aye, sir.'

PANEL TWO

Surreal cross-section of the ship, with the figure of Tarrant
sneaking down each of the ladders.

Tarrant, to himself: 'I'd better hurry. Krumm is about to start
rotating the hull.'



PANEL THREE

_Resplendent Quetzal_, from the maindeck, just at the foot of the
quarterdeck, upward to the first tier of sails. On the command deck,
Krumm stands with Demondion-Echeverria on his right and Holder on his
left. Krumm points upward and outward at a huge bloom of concentric
rainbow colors in the ship's #-field. The edges of each colored zone
are not sharp, but shade into one another.

Krumm: 'Look there, Frantisek! That's another #-field approaching
ours!'
