Panel 1
Ernie and Bert are grinning and saying something to Reggie, in their trademarked ping-pong manner, while Reggie takes a sip of beer.

Ernie: Don’t get too attached to this ‘His Royal Majesty stuff, Reggie.

Bert: Bastille Day is just around the corner and guillotines aren’t much of a home workshop challenge.


Panel 2
Closer in on Ernie and Reggie. Now Ernie is looking serious, while Reggie reels back in mock-offense.

Ernie: So what happens when Caillard does return to Ceres and finds out you are a fraud?

Reggie: A fraud! Sir, you cut me to the quick. I am but an humble thespian – pastor and all the rest.



Panel 3
Reggie sits up straight with chest out and hand laid across his heart while he speaks. Ernie grins slightly but Bert is looking thoughtful.


Reggie: When Caillard learns of my performance, what can he do? He clearly hates his job – who wouldn’t?

Reggie (2): And I really do think he is a bit of a cowboy at heart.

Reggie’s arms spread out as he explains.

Reggie: Finally he will have a real job in a real world. We’ll all have a laugh together and that will be that.
