Babbette: You just crossed a line there, Terry.

Guy: I merely wished to express my gratitude.

Panel 2
Babbette draws herself up to her full height, fists on her hips, the picture of righteous indignation.

Babbette: The usual comp'nsation for assault is one gold ounce!


Guy: Oh, it is?

Now Guy the Negotiator kicks in, and it's Babbette's turn to look discombobulated.

Guy: What is the usual compensation for violating Sov. Stellina's privacy?

Babbette slumps in her stance, looking defeated. Guy resumes eating his breakfast.

Babbette: I guess we should just consider this a misunderstanding among friends.

Guy: My sentiments exactly.
