Panel 1
A small group of people are gathered near on airlock to the outside. Reggie is standing in his enviro-suit, helmet under his arm. There is a small bulge at his mid-section. Guy is standing to his right. Also on hand are Neil Isher and four others from the “leading citizens” committee first seen in Strip 30: Sam, Davey, Vinnie, and Rosemarie. They're a sort of impromptu farewell committee. They are all looking grim.

Reggie: Thanks, friends. Vinnie has my will, and I guess you guys will know what to do if this gag doesn't work out.

Panel 2
Reggie suddenly turns to speak to Guy. Guy suddenly lights with enthusiasm.
Reggie: Hey Guy, can you do comm?

Guy: Can I do Comm!

Panel 3
Guy is hungry to do something useful. Reggie smiles a tired smile.

Guy: In the UW Social Scouts, I got merit badges for radio, video and tanglenet.

Reggie: You're hired, Comm Officer Caillard.
