Strip 270 -- First Seen: 2009-09-25
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.

Goal Reached!

Thanks!

We reached our goal and then some. We want to thank all of our backers for helping us reach and surpass our goal. We also want to take this time to thank everyone who has contributed to supporting our strip by buying our books and reading the strip regularly so we can earn a little advertising revenue.

Because we set this up as a flexible campaign, anyone wanting to back this campaign and get a perk can do so through this Friday. For those of you still interested in backing our campaign, click on this link or on the picture to visit our campaign!

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Re-establish the scene with Reggie standing and the students seated around him. He is addressing Manjula again. She has a wistful, far-away look.

Reggie: So, no T-comms, no music players, no video players, no electronic entertainment of any kind?

Reggie: Don't you go stir crazy without any stimulation?

Panel 2
Two-shot of Heinrich and the student to Heinrich's right – 'Student 4', who speaks

Student 4: No sir, we have books – old fashioned, paper and ink books.

Panel 3
Looking at Reggie over the tops of some of the students' heads. Reggie's arms are crossed.
Reggie: Okay then, if the music didn't come from inside the Station, where did it come from?

Panel 4
Wide shot of most or all of the students, squirming in their seats and looking nervously at one another.

No dialog.

Panel 5
Medium close-up of Manjula, looking timidly up towards Reggie.

Manjula: It … it came from outside.

Panel 6
Medium shot of Reggie, with that 'light comes on' expression as the situation becomes clear to him.

Reggie: And how would you …

Reggie: You've heard it too, haven't you, Manjula?

Panel 7
Elevated angle, from behind Reggie, looking at all the students. They are all looking back at him fearfully.

No dialog.

Panel 8
Medium close-up of Reggie, eyebrows raised in an 'aha!' moment.

Reggie: Damn! You've all heard it!
