Strip 431 -- First Seen: 2010-05-03
Escape From Terra is updated with new pages every Monday through Friday.
QV on a short break
QUANTUM VIVE is taking a break for a few weeks, as we prepare for Part 2 of the Novo Palermo story, and also for a Kickstarter campaign for Part 1, which will start in September.
In the meantime, Not-Safe.Space will continue, as a murder mystery begins and the relationship between Eithne and Diana develops in unexpected directions.
Not-Safe.Space is a NSFW strip but more than half the pages are SFW so I've set those to *not* require a Patreon membership. Readers should be able to follow the story without seeing the NSFW pages. If I've done this right.
Kickstarter successful and closed
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Thanks to all for supporting this Kickstarter!
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Robyn's story continues, cut back to Robyn and Sajjan in the day room at the Lunar Kiddie Slammer. They've paused in their strolling – Robyn has her hands on hips looking up at Sajjan, who is shrugging nonchalantly.
Robyn: So …?
Sajjan: So it turned out that one of those guys was the son of some bigwig in the Ministry of Law.
Panel 2
Cut to, the juvenile court in Singapore, where Sajjan in chains faces a grim-looking three-judge panel. To one side, one of the Chinese boys, with a bandage on his nose, stands next to a sharply-dressed, middle-aged Chinese man. The Chinese youth is grinning at Sajjan, who ignores him.
Caption (Sajjan): 'His father saw to it that I was charged for assaulting the entire gang!
Panel 3
Cut back to Sajjan and Robyn at the prison. Sajjan is smiling a sad smile.
Sajjan: His son and the other guys walked and I was convicted – I guess my size wasn't any help in court.
Panel 4
Now we cut back to the present, in the Water Bros Cafe, as Robyn tells her story to Babbette and Emily. In the booth behind Robyn we can see four other Cerereans listening with rapt attention.
Robyn: So then I told Sajjan how I got there, which I've already explained to you here.
Babbette: Right. Go on.
