Kickstarter Success!
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
All of this should show up in June.
The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Ed and Chang still at the cafe table, Chang is looking sideways across the plaza.
Ed: Using force to stop your boy or his girlfriend from kissing – or even more – is simply not consistent with our zero aggression principle.
Panel 2
Medium 3-shot of the soldier, the girl, and her boyfriend. The soldier has a hand on one of the girl's breasts. The boyfriend is looking even more tense but not doing anything.
No dialog.
Panel 3
Close-up of Chang gazing out on the plaza, looking amazed.
No dialog.
Panel 4
Back to medium 2-shot of Chang and Ed.
Ed: Oh, the boyfriend is pissed and this might end their relationship, but nobody is going to get punched or anything.
Ed: In fact, he's exhibiting more restraint than you might think. He could challenge your boy to a duel.
Panel 5
Looking past Ed at Chang, who does a take.
Chang: And that's legal?
Ed: No, it's not illegal. If your soldier chose not to accept the challenge, that's all there'd be to it.
Panel 6
Chang and Ed. It's Chang's turn to talk.
Chang: Okay, so it looks like I was li … it looks as though my superiors had bad intel.
Chang: But we have come a very long way to just turn around and go home.
Panel 7
Sideways two-shot of Ed and Chang. Both are smiling slightly.
Ed: Your superiors did have bad intel.
Ed: Sounds to me like you need to consult with your superiors in light of unanticipated circumstances, don't you think?
