The Transcript For This Page
PANEL ONE
Krumm's cabin, the table. Demondion-Echeverria, Krumm, and Bretta.
Through the windows, far in the distance, we see _Kestrel_ streaking
from left to right.
Inside, Krumm has moved to Bretta and holds one of her upper arms
in each of his giant hands.
Krumm: 'Still and all, once this nasty business is finished and we
have destroyed the shipyards on the large moon ... '
Demondion-Echeverria: 'Saving millions of lives in the process.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL TWO
Krumm and Bretta, nose-to-nose (he has to lean down). He's trying
to be encouraging, and she's trying to hold back tears. Behind them,
outside, a larger _Kestrel_ is moving from right to left.
Krumm: 'Frantisek's friends will have done with the Ceo, and we can
tear his city-sized castle apart brick by brick to find your parents.'
Demondion-Echeverria (from outside of panel): 'Perhaps I can even show
you the likeliest bricks to start with.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL THREE
Close two-shot of Krumm and Bretta, trying to be brave. Krumm is smiling gamely.
Bretta: 'If they haven't already torn it apart themselves.'
Krumm: 'There, that's the spirit!'

PANEL FOUR (close to half-page)
In the center, perhaps a little low, an alien sun, slightly
yellower than ours, with the edge of an illuminated disk of dust and
gas stretching from one side of the panel to the other. Perhaps we can
see a couple of nearby planets. Off to one side is a vaguely Earthlike
world with a moon almost as big as it is. And two smaller moons.
To the high right, hanging over us, the stern of _Resplendent
Quetzal_, with a port opened. Bretta and Rakush have already come out
of it. Bretta is wearing a lightweight spacesuit with the helmet
thrown back. Kombi, riding Marengo, is in the process of exiting the
port. The younger _lamina_ are not in evidence.
To the high left, at least a portion of Tarrant's _Kestrel_. Show
Tarrant in the cockpit, ready to go. He could even be upside-down or
sideways with respect to _Resplendent Quetzal_.
Narrative (Tarrant): 'As plans go, it wasn't much ... '
