Demondion-Echeverria bows deeply, with a flourish. Meanwhile, the
dragonfly has detached itself from the wall and is now in flight
somewhere between lia and the partition.

Lia: 'Both here in this room. The ambassador, you know.'

Demondion-Echeverria: 'At your service, friend Phoebus!'

PANEL TWO (upper righthand quarter of page)

Lia, in the foreground, points her right thumb back over her
shoulder at the lefthand end of the partition across the back of the
room. A man's hand has appeared at the edge of the partition, its
fingers wrapped around the edge. On her upheld left hand, the
dragonfly now perches on her index finger.

Lia: 'You know my old friend Hanebuth Tarrant, who serves my father's
sister, Anastasia Wheeler, of the Coordinated Arm -- a polity that
includes the planet our species evolved on.'

Tarrant: 'Ambassador -- and the man they call 'the Baker'.'

Demondion-Echeverria: 'Didn't I see you back at the -- ?'

Phoebus: 'You've gotten better. From Ancient Earth, you say?'
