PANEL ONE
Krumm still addressing his crew
Krumm: 'Ordinarily, I'd grumble meself. Still, we are not here to
engage the enemy will-he, nill-he ... '
Crewman (from out of panel): 'What did he say?'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL TWO
Closeup of Krumm in a different pose.
Krumm: ' ... but to go to a specific location, seize a specific ship,
and destroy her.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL THREE
Back off a bit. Krumm points outward, into the Void.
Krumm: 'Until then, upon sight of unfriendly sails, we run!'
PANEL FOUR
Someone standing next to Tarrant whispers to him.
Crewman: 'Gee, isn't it lucky we were drilling, then?'
Tarrant: 'Save it for later, shipmate.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL FIVE
The command deck, near the binnacle and the retrofitted controls
for the tachyon engines. Krumm looks out over the maindeck. Behind
him, on the rigging, we see as many of the crew as can be fitted in.
Beside him stands his sailing master Holder. Demondion-Echeverria
can be seen at the left edge of the panel.
Krumm: 'General Quarters! Mr. Holder, kindly beat to quarters.'
Holder: 'The crew are already at their battle stations, sir. They've
been drilling all -- '
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL SIX
Same scene, a little closer in. Demondion-Echeverria is out of the
panel, and the lookout's young mate has just descended from aloft and
is squatting casually on the top of the taffrail, holding on to a line
with one hand.
Krumm: 'I am aware of that, Mr. Holder. Kindly take the occasion to
inform them that this is no drill. We've an interloper on the way.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PANEL SEVEN
Closeup on boy with Krumm nearby.
Boy: 'Two interlopers, sir. Chief Lookout Mr. Ngo's just sighted a
second ship, sir. Also Jendyne, he says, sir.'
Krumm: ''Sirly' little fellow, aren't you?'
