The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Inside the capsule, inside the lava tube. Everything is black but through the magic of cartoon-stage lighting we can see Babbette and Reggie, shaded. Both of them are getting shaken in their seats. Reggie is still hanging onto the safety bar for dear life, and now even Babbette looks uncomfortable.
Caption: Inside the dark lava tube, without visual cues, every bump or swerve came as a complete – and frightening – surprise.
Caption: Even Babbette was muted.

Panel 2
The capsule and track emerge from the canyon wall and begin to curve straight downward again.
Caption: At last, the capsule burst into sunlight and immediately plunged downward again.

Panel 3
Inside the capsule, everyone looks startled except Babbette, who is laughing maniacally. Reggie turns his head a bit to glance sideways at Babbette with an expression of amazement.
Babbette: WHEEEEE!!!

Panel 4
A large panel, the track loops and weaves wildly around a series of outcroppings, depressions and spires, progressing generally downward. The capsules zoom by at some point close to the viewer.
Caption: The capsule began dodging and weaving impossibly close to a series of outcroppings, depressions and tall spires.
Caption: As it neared the valley floor it entered speed-killing loops and hills.

Panel 5
On the canyon floor, the capsules come to a stop on a slight upward grade, next to a 3-meter-tall spire festooned with 5 pairs of lights (currently darkened) running along the sides.

Caption: Finally, the capsule rolled to a gentle stop.

Panel 6
Inside the capsule, Reggie looks quizzically at Babbette, who just grins and looks straight ahead expectantly.
Babbette: Wait for it.
